SCROOMS Selling Guide: Julian, Chimes, and Quest Catches
Sell catches at Julian’s stall, check quest needs before a batch sale, and separate the merchant action from equipment and Index menus.
Sell caught Scrooms to Julian to receive Chimes in SCROOMS. The sale is a merchant action; your Equipment Bag is where you equip instruments, while the Index is where you inspect creature discoveries.
Review a catch before turning it into currency
Look at your current Quest Log objective before a broad sale. A requested creature may be more useful for a turn-in than for the purchase you are saving toward. Decide which goal comes first, then take suitable catches to Julian.
This approach keeps the sale purposeful without assuming a special value formula. Different inventories can produce different sale results, so use the merchant's displayed interaction and your actual balance rather than a universal creature-price claim.
| Place | Purpose | Use it when |
|---|---|---|
| Julian | Turn caught Scrooms into Chimes | You want sale income |
| Equipment Bag | Equip an owned instrument | You bought or received catching gear |
| Index | Inspect collection entries | You want to choose a discovery target |
Complete the sale at the merchant
Find Julian at his wooden stall in Songkeeper’s Grove and use the selling interaction. Follow the available sale option and finish the transaction, then check the music-note balance. If the opening tutorial asks you to sell, this is the step that teaches the currency loop.
You do not sell an instrument by opening its equipment selection, and opening the Index does not hand your catch to a merchant. Keeping those menus separate helps when the tutorial changes from catching to selling and then to buying.
Use the proceeds with a concrete next step
If the tutorial now asks for Tamer’s Guitar, follow the merchant's purchase offer. After buying, switch to Equipment Bag → Instruments, select the guitar, equip it, and close the bag. A successful sale and an active upgrade are two different checkpoints.
For a larger spending plan, use the Chimes guide. If you only need to find the seller, the Julian location page focuses on his stall rather than the whole economy. Keep the quest objective and the purchase target beside your selling decision so a useful catch does not become an accidental detour.
Bring the current sale objective to Julian in the official Roblox game.
